For softkey activated licenses, uninstall the previous version, download Multi-Instrument 3.9 and install it to the same computer. The software will be activated to the license level you own automatically.

For USB hardkey/VT hardware activated licenses, download Multi-Instrument 3.9 and install it to any computers. The software will be activated to the license level you own with the respective hardware plugged into the USB port of your computer.

If the software is installed into the same directory of an old installation without performing uninstallation first, the old configuration such as the color scheme and calibration data, etc. will be inherited. It is also possible for a brand-new installation to inherit an old configuration if the old configuration file Scins.cfg is renamed to Scins.cfg.old and put under the new installation directory before the very first run.

For USB hardkey/VT hardware activated licenses, download Multi-Instrument 3.7 and install it to any computers. The software will be activated to the license level you own with the respective hardware plugged into the USB port of your computer.

For softkey activated licenses, uninstall the previous version, download Multi-Instrument 3.6 and install it to the same computer. The software will be activated to the license level you own automatically.

For USB hardkey/VT hardware activated licenses, download Multi-Instrument 3.6 and install it to any computers. The software will be activated to the license level you own with the respective hardware plugged into the USB port of your computer.

Users will be prompted to select the default device & skin during the very first-time launch of the software after installation. Select the VT hardware you own as the default device.

VT DSO hardware driver will be installed automatically during software installation with or without the DSO attached.

For softkey activated licenses, uninstall the previous version, download Multi-Instrument 3.5 and install it to the same computer. The software will be activated to the license level you own automatically.

For USB hardkey/VT hardware activated licenses, download Multi-Instrument 3.5 and install it to any computers. The software will be activated to the license level you own with the respective hardware plugged into the USB port of your computer.

VTDSO Hardware Driver Update

This new version contains a new hardware driver for VT DSOs. If you have installed a previous VT DSO driver, then it is recommended to update it with the new driver in order to support USB1.1 full speed in additional to USB2.0 high speed. The steps are described as follows:

1. With the VT DSO connected, go to [Windows Control Panel] > [Device Manager] > "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" > "Virtins USB3.0 Generic Driver", right click it and select "Uninstall". On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
2. Replug the VT DSO, under [Universal Serial Bus Controllers], right click [Virtins USB3.0 BootLoader VTDAQX_X], and select "Uninstall". On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
3. Replug the VT DSO again, now you should see a "Unknown Device" under "Other Devices" in the Device Manager. Otherwise, repeat (1) and / or (2).
4. Go to folder: C:\Windows\System32\drivers and delete file VTUSB3.sys. Go to folder: C:\Windows\System32 and delete folder VTDAQX_X.
5. Right click "Unknown Device" in (3) and select "Update Driver Software...". The driver can be found at Multi-Instrument's root directory\Drivers\VTUSB3\32bit or 64bit.

For softkey activated licenses, uninstall the previous version, download Multi-Instrument 3.4 and install it to the same computer. The software will be activated to the license level you own automatically.

For USB hardkey/VT hardware activated licenses, download Multi-Instrument 3.4 and install it to any computers. The software will be activated to the license level you own with the respective hardware plugged into the USB port of your computer.

For softkey activated licenses, uninstall the previous version, download Multi-Instrument 3.3 and install it to the same computer. The software will be activated to the license level you own automatically.

For USB hardkey/VT hardware activated licenses, download Multi-Instrument 3.3 and install it to any computers. The software will be activated to the license level you own with the respective hardware plugged into the USB port of your computer.

For softkey activated licenses, uninstall the previous version, download Multi-Instrument 3.2 and install it to the same computer. The software will be activated to the license level you own automatically.

For USB hardkey/VT DSO-2810F/VT DSO-2810H/VT DSO-2815H activated licenses, download Multi-Instrument 3.2 and install it to any computers. The software will be activated to the license level you own with the respective hardware plugged into the USB port of your computer.

For softkey activated licenses, uninstall the previous version, download Multi-Instrument 3.1 and install it to the same computer. The software will be activated to the license level you own automatically.

For hardkey activated licenses, download Multi-Instrument 3.1 and install it to any computers. The software will be activated to the license level you own with the hardkey plugged into any USB port of your computer.

1. Registered users of Virtins Sound Card Multi-Instrument series (softkey version ) are eligible for free upgrade as follows:

Virtins Sound Card Oscilloscope -> Sound Card Oscilloscope
Virtins Sound Card Spectrum Analyzer -> Sound Card Spectrum Analyzer

To upgrade, download Multi-Instrument 3.0 to the previously licensed computer and register the software again. A new activation code (softkey) will be sent to you after your registration. The previous version can still be kept in the same computer.

2. Users of Virtins Sound Card Multi-Instrument (hardkey version) are eligible for free upgrade to Multi-Instrument Lite with a softkey. To upgrade, download Multi-Instrument 3.0 to the target computer and register the software. A new activation code (softkey) will be sent to you after your registration. The previous USB hardkey can still be kept for being used with the previous version of the software.

3. Both softkey and hardkey users of previous version are eligible for purchasing one new hardkey per license. Unlike the hardkey for the previous version, the new hardkey is remotely upgradable. Please go to the order page to purchase the new hardkey.

Note: It is not necessary to uninstall the previous software version for the upgrade.
