PSD Power spectral density

PSD Power spectral density

Postby Testman » Thu Oct 03, 2013 1:51 pm

Power spectral densityIs it possible to configure the multi instrument so it displays the psd(power spectral density) of the signal? The instrument I want to replace is a big Dynamic signal analyzer that gives me the PSD directly. I have been searching the web for a simple answer how to directly transform the FFT from virtinst to PSD, but did not find it.

Thank you for the suggestion. We may include the PSD function in the next version

Yes, it has been provided. Right click anywhere within the spectrum analyzer window and select [Spectrum Analyzer Y Scale], then the following are options for PSD:
1. Vrms/√Hz
2. dBV/Hz
3. dBu/Hz
4. dB/Hz
5. dBFS/Hz
