Each time that install a new version of MI-Pro, it should to setup the display settings (colours, text fonts size, e.t.c) and Hot Panel Setttings.
What is the best way to install the new version?
- to install over the old installation file with the same name or
- to install to a new installation file and transfer some files that keep the display and Hot Panel Settings information?
New installation, display and Hot Panel Setting issues
Re: New installation, display and Hot Panel Setting issues
I search all the old topics, I think a solution for the Hot Panel Setting Configuration, is to save this to a file (via Current HPST Configuration File->Save As) and upload when the new installation done.
What is the role of Scins.cfg file, it includes the information for the skins and the rest of display?

Re: New installation, display and Hot Panel Setting issues
Scins.cfg contains basically the configuration data in [Setting]>[Calibration], [Setting]>[Display], [Setting]>[ADC Device] and [Setting>DAC Device]. If a new installation is made in the existing software folder without a prior uninstallation, then the old configurations in Scins.cfg will be inherited. Other files will be overwritten except those files which are not a part of the original software package.
