Synchronizing signal generator timing to external reference

Can the signal generator be configured to start with and be synchronized with an external clock reference? I am trying to use the VT DSO-2A20E in an experiment where synchronizing the clock signal across multiple devices is important. I have the standard software license that came with the VT DSO-2A20E.

Currently, the signal generator hardware of VT DSO-2A20E does not support external trigger. In case a synchronization delay as high as more than 100 ms can be tolerated, then it is possible to use the Device Test Plan software add-on to configure a software synchronization between the trigger signal and the signal generator.
