Delicate USB socket

Hi,
I have just purchased the 2820E product and am generally pleased with it. However I note that the USB connection at the product is very sensitive to vibration or touch. It takes very little mechanical shock on the bench, or even a gentle touch on the cable, to have the product lose communication with the computer. I have tried a variety of USB type'B' cables with the product. All exhibit the same behaviour and I therefore conclude that it is the USB socket on the product that is 'fragile'.

1) Have you seen this before?
2) Is there any user intervention that can be done to make this more robust and less prone to fail.

PS I also noted that the retaining nuts on the front panel BNC sockets were loose on arrival, however these have been tightened by hand and seem to be OK.

Thank you.
Bob

Standard USB connectors rely on a friction fit and are not vibration-proof. If its behaviour deviates significantly from that of an ordinary USB connector, you may return it to us for an exchange. Sometimes, a different USB cable does help.
